Sister Margrita Marshall of Barbados

Sister Margrita Marshall is a stalwart on the Barbadian gospel music scene, and is by far the most popular female gospel singer in Barbados.

Sister as she is fondly called has previously contributed to a number of various-artistes albums and was best known for her involvement in the group "Joseph Niles and The Consolers". Her longevity has survived many local singers and bands, and even her own group "Sister Marshall and the Victory Voices". She is well Loved by audiences wherever she appears.

One of her strongest inputs in Barbadian gospel music, to my mind, extends beyond the stage. Sister is an encourager. Whether or not she is actively involved in the concert, she can be seen supporting the younger artistes, actively involved in worship as they minister.

This project, her first solo album, is long overdue and is anxiously anticipated. May this be a new beginning; the first of what I hope will be many successful recording projects, which Sister Margrita Marshall deserves.
