Why is Sarah Palin always in the news?

Why is Sarah Palin so popular, and yet so hated? The Former Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin, appears loved by the mainstream media. This might be due to being the first female vice-presidential nominee for the Republican party, and support for Flag, Family, and Faith

Sarah Palin has been all over the mainstream news, and the internet for the longest while, propelling me to ask the question why is she so popular, and why does the media continue to promote whatever she says, and does.

I decided to perform a Google search to find out possible answers, but to this day I haven't been able to find anything concrete as to why Sarah Palin is always in the media, except for the following, which doesn't appear as significant enough reasons to promote a person.

Chiefly, Palin is a woman, with children, young and calming on the eyes. She is articulate, but so are many other candidates. She is primed to take on the big boys, but is this just rhetoric? What prove is there? She preaches Faith, Flag, and Family, but is this all that is needed?

So what is there that makes Sarah Palin stand out from her counterparts? I will explorer the points made about her on the internet.

First Female Vice-Presidential Nominee for the Republican Party

What therefore Sarah Palin has going for her is not only that she is a woman, but she is the first female vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party. Everyone, especially with the promotion of feminism today, wants to see what appears to be a simple female combating the the old male guard.

When Sen. John McCain announced Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate in 2008, he described her as "the running mate who can best help me shake up Washington."

"She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics of me first and country second".

Palin Supports Faith, Flag, and Family

Mrs. Palin preaches Faith, Flag, and Family. Straight off the bat during her 2008 acceptance speech as the first female vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party, she took the opportunity to speak on the commitment to flag and family as in the following excerpt.

"Our son Track is 19.

And one week from tomorrow - September 11th - he'll deploy to Iraq with the Army infantry in the service of his country.

My nephew Kasey also enlisted, and serves on a carrier in the Persian Gulf.

My family is proud of both of them and of all the fine men and women serving the country in uniform. Track is the eldest of our five children.

In our family, it's two boys and three girls in between - my strong and kind-hearted daughters Bristol, Willow, and Piper.

And in April, my husband Todd and I welcomed our littlest one into the world, a perfectly beautiful baby boy named Trig"

I have ended the excerpt from the speech as above, but the speech went on, and on about the family, which must have caught the heart strings of the American people.

Willing to take on the "Big Boys"

She "stood up to Big Oil" when she resigned after 11 months as the head of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, due to abuses she witnessed involving other Republican commissioners and their ties to energy companies and energy lobbyists, and again when she raised taxes on oil companies as governor.

In turn, others have said that Palin is a "friend of Big Oil" due to her advocacy of oil exploration and development including drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the de-listing of the polar bear as an endangered species. (Wikipedia)

Palin Appears Ordinary

Sarah Palin for the most appears ordinary, not as your average politician, which is why persons might want to trust in her. She has five children, one with Down's Syndrome. Her father is a school teacher. Her husband is an oil field supervisor with BP Oil, and works as a commercial fisherman for the family fishery business.

Many therefore believe Mrs. Palin can see eye to eye with their situations.
