The news that Whitney Houston is dead is being reported by the Associated press on this day February 11, 2012. Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the of her death is unknown. Her body was apparently found at the Beverly Hilton hotel, where Houston was staying planning to attend Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party Saturday at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
Whitney Houston was last seen in the media on Thursday night having attended a pre-Grammy party at Tru Hollywood nightclub partying the night away. The decorated singer has been having some bad press recently as rumors of Houston being under some financial strain, as there was an authorized the mortgage foreclosure sale of her New Jersey mansion. Houston reportedly owes $1 million in overdue mortgage payments and taxes.
