What has caused attention to be laid upon Vybz Kartel is a ring he wears, which consist of the compass and square of the Freemasons.
Popular Jamaican artist Vybz Kartel (born Adidja Azim Palmer January 7, 1976 in Kingston, Jamaica) might be a Freemason, according to rumours which are propagating across the internet.
If one remembers recently Vybz Kartel, and Movado (Jamaican dancehall artist) were prevented from entering Barbados to perform and to speak to the youth of Barbados about staying away from gang activity, and gangs in Barbados.
The Barbados Youth Action Programme, a Government affiliate under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Hamilton Lashley, had scheduled performances of the Jamaican duo for a reggae show on March 27 at the Midway House car park, Bay Street, The City.
The event was frowned upon by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Darwin Dottin, and Minister of Education Mr. Ronald Jones. Mr Jones has also recently spoken out against local Calypsonians, about smutty lyrics in calypsos they might produce.
The show welcoming Vybz Kartel and Movado to the Barbadian shores, was almost given the go ahead by a high up official in the police force, Mr. Bertie Hinds, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Could this be brothers helping each other?), until Prime Minister David Thompson, met with all parties involved, and decided the show will not take place in Barbados.
The limiting factor to the whole event was the public outcry against the two Jamaican artistes, who have fuelled unrest in their own country Jamaica. The rivalry between the two might have been for promotional purposes, but somehow got out of hand and resulted in gang warfare (Gaza vs. Gully).
They have since unified their efforts in speaking out against gang warfare and the whole "Gaza" against "Gully" fiasco.
What has caused attention to be laid upon Vybz Kartel is a ring he wears, which consist of the compass and square of the Freemasons. This does not mean that Vybez Kartel is a Mason, since the ring might have been a family heirloom.
In an interview on
boomshots.com entitled Reasoning With
Di Teacha: Part Two
Oct 6th, 2009 by admin. Vybz Kartel was questioned about the Masonic ring he wears. Here is a section of that interview.
OKAY, I HAVE TO ASK: ARE YOU A MASON? OR ARE YOU INTERESTED IN MASONIC THINGS IN ANY WAY? THERE'S A LOT OF SPECULATION ON THE INTERNET. PEOPLE HIGHLIGHT CERTAIN LYRICS...
Vybz Kartel Reply:
Okay, okay, well I would plead the fifth on that one. We'll just have to leave it to the imagination of the people-if they think that is something worth wasting their time thinking about. You get me?
YEAH I DO. LOOK, I'M A PERSON WHO JUST COME UP FRONT AND ASK.
Vybz Kartel Reply:
Well you have to, cause you're the media. That's why I want you to write what I said. Because a lot of people want to know what you just asked. If they think that it's something worth wasting their time to find out, and not try to find out certain more serious things in their life, whether personal, social, physical, spiritual or otherwise-well, let them gwan try figure it out.
Vybz Kartel did not accept, nor deny that he might be a freemason. Many have therefore gwan to his songs and lyrics to try to figure it out and pointed out the song Broad Day Light on the day break riddim which starts like this: "Wi reach 33 degrees An mi a seh wait Heights a evil".
They are many rumours which are only rumours because the persons involved have not come forward to disclose whether truth or fiction, but the proof put forward by some of the websites and blogs online are quite interesting to say the least.
These websites include, aftermathnews.wordpress.com, and viglantcitizen.com.
Artists mentioned on these sites include our own Rihanna, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Vybz Kartel, Nas, Lady Gaga, and many more popular entertainers who are believed to be controlled by the freemasons, and by extension the Illuminati.
