Reverend Dr. Michael Clare, a Jamaican born pastor of a Bronx, New York church has been indicted for the rape of a teen, who he has also been alleged to have impregnated.
According to prosecutors in the case, the 38-year-old married leader of the Harvest Worship Center in Wakefield has been having seen with his congregant since she was twelve years old. The teen is now fifteen and pregnant, DNA evidence has indicted Michael Clare.
Clare was arrested June 14 on second-degree rape charges, but the grand jury on Friday upped the charges to first-degree rape.
These are sad days for the church, as pastor Jippy Doyle is about to be release from prison after being convicted on charges of having carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old, and Reverend Paul Lewis will be going to court on Tuesday for charges brought against him for having carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old.
